In-School Scholarships and Bursaries
In addition to scholarships and bursaries available via colleges/universities, associations, groups, etc., McMath has their own scholarship/bursary program. In the spring, the scholarship committee will inform graduating students about their specific process, so that they may be considered for these awards.
In-school Scholarships
The scholarship committee may consider school-based extracurricular activities, school and/or athletics, hobbies & interests, volunteering and leadership in the school & community, employment, and significant activities, etc. Students are expected to have 6 McMath courses in order to be considered for McMath Scholarships. An online application will be made available closer to Spring Break 2017. Scholarship winners will be announced at the Valedictory ceremony!
In-school BursariesIn addition, bursaries are based on financial need and are intended for students who require outside support in meeting the financial demands of post secondary education. A separate busary application will be available in the spring from the counselling department.Provincial Scholarship ProgramDistrict/Authority ScholarshipsIn addition, this is a special scholarship category that can be awarded to students who excel in a particular area. Students may be asked to indicate if they would like to be considered for these awards. BC Excellence ScholarshipsThere are 55 BC Excellence Scholarships available to recognize well-rounded B.C. graduates.
